Stuart Townend is a gifted Christian English singer-songwriter, probably best known for songs such as “How Deep the Father’s Love for Us” and “In Christ Alone”. These songs are the tip of a rich resource of congregational ‘songs of substance’, which are characterised by: great tunes, singable range for congregations, intelligent and inspired lyrics, sound theology.
We have decided to run “An Evening of Stuart Townend Songs” for you to enjoy, evaluate, and to be inspired to enhance your worship by incorporating them in your services. His music can be purchased from web sites as chord sheets, full score, and some in SATB, so whether you are a lone guitarist leading worship or have a full robed choir, there is something here for everyone.
The evening is not a concert or a workshop, but for anyone keen on developing music within their congregation. You will be encouraged to sing along (but leave your instruments at home) with the approximately 20 songs to be covered. For copyright reasons music will not be provided, but we will provide details on how to access sheet music, chord sheets, and recorded versions. Please limit your attendance to two or three from a church.
There is no charge, but bring a water bottle to wet your whistle and a pen.
No need to register, but a phone call or email with intention to attend and numbers will be useful to gauge interest.

This is a ‘must do’ conference for those planning, managing and delivering services and advocacy that lead to real change for marginalised and vulnerable New Zealanders and provides an opportunity for our sector to begin to develop an alternative vision for our whānau, families, and communities.

Almost HALF the seats for the Israel Pilgrimage have been taken, so NOW is the time for you and your friends and family to buy an early Christmas present to enable that special person to join in on an unforgettable journey to Israel. On the way we will stop off at the Petra valley for a breathtaking walk (or camel ride) and then we will go to Mt Nebo where Moses saw, but never entered the Promised land (Deuteronomy 32.48). Then we experience the frustrations of crossing the sensitive border from Jordan to Israel!
