Mary (Molly) Lilian Pyatt – died on June 6, 2009 at the age of 90. Molly worked alongside her husband Allan during his time as Bishop (1966 to '83) and was considered by many as the "Mother of the Diocese." She was very supportive of clergy families, particularly in regard to housing standards, and offered hospitality at Bishopscourt to clergy wives during synod. The former residence, now a retirement complex, is named after her.
Molly championed the 'underdog,' had a down-to-earth manner, and a great sense of humour. Her family say a recurring theme of many letters they have received since her death is how she made a real difference to people by what she said or did.
