On the 8th of August the Anglican Parish of Rangiora commenced their sesqui centennial year of celebrations with a Starry Night ball. Celebrations began at 8pm in the St John’s Parish Hall in Rangiora. Over 100 people attended the celebration event which proved to be a highly enjoyable evening. A fantastic time was had by all younger and older parishioners with a live band inspiring many to hit the dance floor. A scrumptious supper was served during the evening and the night’s action was captured by photographer Laura Jones.
The Parish of Rangiora will continue their 150 year celebrations with further events set to happen throughout the next year with the next being a Confirmation service in November.
