If you have read stories in the media about an ecumenical cathedral for Christchurch the truth is some Anglicans may have raised the idea of an ecumenical cathedral but no formal discussions have taken place. However it is true that around the Diocese parishes work together on an ecumenical level where appropriate. This is especially true in supporting each other with meeting venues following the earthquakes in last two years.
