Synod

On 10 March 2012, a one-day SYNOD will be held at St Christopher's Church, 244 Avonhead Road from 8.30am to approximately 6.30pm.

Morning/afternoon tea & lunch will be catered.

Synod members elected in 2009 attend the March Synod. The final date for March Synod registration is 17 February 2012.

The March Synod will include some formal business, including the Anglican Covenant (previously postponed) to allow discussion and a decision by this Diocese.

NOTE: If you parish or archdeaconry wants to put forward a motion for the March Synod, please note the deadline of 10 December 2011.

Information on the Anglican Communion Covenant to help inform and prepare for the discussion will be provided and pre-Synod Archdeaconry meetings will be held--dates/times/venues to be advised. Copies of the Covenant can be requested on the registration form that will be distributed, or downloaded from www.anglicanlife.org.nz/Resources/Synod

Please not that your 2012 Parish AGM will be electing Synod members for the next three-year term, and attend:

the annual Diocesan Synod which will be held over two days on 7-8 September 2012, at St Christopher's Church.
