7pm on Sunday, 4 October at St Mary’s, 2-4 Truscotts Road, Heathcote.
Come along for a special evening of country gospel music festival at the Church of St Mary, Heathcote, on Sunday 4 October at 7pm.
We present an evening of much-loved country gospel songs, bringing together the warmth and joy of country music with the message of Christian faith and hope.
The service will be led by a newly formed special clergy band, featuring three priests from the Diocese: the Reverend Mike Hawke, the Reverend John Shoaf and the Reverend Mark Sullivan.
Whether you are a lifelong lover of country gospel, enjoy singing along to familiar hymns and songs, or simply want to come and enjoy a relaxed and friendly evening, everyone is warmly invited. The service will follow a café/dessert night/worship theme.
This evening is also the beginning of an exciting initiative. We hope that the idea will be adopted throughout the Diocese, giving each archdeaconry the opportunity to host its own Country Gospel Evening during the coming year.
So, bring a friend, come along, enjoy the music and celebrate the joy of gospel.
