9.30am – 2pm on Saturday, 9 May at Riccarton Baptist Church, 80 Rattray Street, Riccarton.
For many followers of Jesus, ADHD can quietly interfere with the life they long for.
Over time, this can lead to being hard on yourself—or carrying guilt or disappointment that was never meant for you.
The Quiet Path is a small, thoughtful space to begin to untangle some of this.
Not everything. Just a few important things.
We will gently explore some of the patterns underneath the struggle:
-
inattention, distraction, and time blindness
-
emotional intensity and overwhelm
-
inconsistency with executive functioning
And how these connect with a contemplative life with God:
-
wanting to pray, but not quite getting there
-
difficulty slowing down
-
restlessness or guilt
-
a longing for something quieter and more grounded
The aim is about:
-
understanding what is going on
-
loosening the weight of guilt or self-judgment
-
discovering gentler, more fitting ways to engage with God
There will be space to reflect, some guided interaction, and simple ideas you can take with you. Some of this is supported by our Quiet Path Guide and Experiment Journal.
