Sunday, 26 October from 8.30am with coffee and croissants, 10am, 12.15pm, 2pm, 3.30pm, and 5pm with BBQ, Akaroa Banks Peninsula. Come to one, more, or all locations.
As summer opens up, so do our little church buildings in beautiful beach locations. The Community church of Akaroa Banks Peninsula is bringing to life Ephesians 5:17-19 with a “Church crawl” on the Sunday of Labour weekend.
“Like a pub crawl going from pub to pub, the church crawl goes from church to church across our bays, with songs of praise, prayers and scripture,” says Rev’d Pauline Hampshire. “Come to one, more, or all locations. We desire to offer moments for God’s people to seek God in these places of amazing natural beauty. Some churches have not been open all winter so we may find a few leaves blown in, but it’s time to seek God and bring them to life for the summer.”
Starting at St. John the Evangelist in Duvauchelle at 8.30am with coffee and croissants, we’ll then have our regular 10am service at Trinity church in Rue Lavaud, Akaroa. Then onto St. Andrew’s Church, Le Bons Bay 12.15pm + bring your own picnic. Then to St. John the Evangelist Church, Okains Bay at 2pm, St. Luke’s Church, Little Akaloa 3.30pm, and finally Knox Church, Pigeon Bay at 5pm + barbecue (BYO meat).
