The King’s Singers in Christchurch
The internationally acclaimed King’s Singers return to Christchurch Town Hall on 11 March 2026 for a very special concert marking Christchurch-born baritone Chris Bruerton’s final New Zealand performance with the ensemble.
Chris’s stellar career began as a chorister in the Cathedral Choir under Music Director David Childs, also singing as an adult. He later moved to England to become a professional singer, and in 2012 became the first non-Brit selected for the internationally acclaimed vocal ensemble. He is now retiring from the group and this will be our last chance to hear him live.
The King’s Singers have been considered the gold standard in a cappella singing for over 50 years. The six-man group is famous for brilliant versatility across various musical styles, flawless harmonies and trademark wit.
