You are warmly invited behind the fences and inside the Cathedral to see the Christchurch City Mission Christmas Tree again this year. Christ Church Cathedral is opening bookings to the people of Christchurch to come inside – where they will see the 10-metre-tall City Mission Christmas Tree.
The Twelve Days of Christmas event will offer a chance to go inside the Cathedral weekdays from December 1 – 16 for up to 50 visitors at a time.
There is no cost of entry to the tour, but we welcome koha for the City Mission, we suggest a $25 donation per person with all proceeds to the City Mission at Christmas. Erecting and lighting the tree has been achieved at no cost to Christ Church Cathedral Reinstatement Limited (CCRL), or the City Mission, thanks to the generous support of Naylor Love.
If you can’t make a visit, gifts and non-perishable of donations can be dropped to the Transitional Cathedral (234 Hereford Street) anytime between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.
The tree is a symbol of a city which cares for all its people by helping the City Mission at Christmas when it needs it most.
All donations and gifts will be given to the Christchurch City Mission.
