Each Parish in the Diocese gets its turn for concentrated archival work, and this week it was the former Parish of Sydenham-Beckenham. Amongst their records was this photograph. It’s always useful when dating photographs to be able to spot a member of your family. This has given me a clue that this photograph was taken in the Provincial Council Chambers in about 1949-1950. The Bishop, Campbell West West-Watson who can be seen in the front right hand corner facing the camera, retired in 1951. There are other individuals who can be recognised from around this time.
